The LX4s laser controller board is a reliable and advanced 4-axis GRBL Plug & Play upgrade for your K40 or larger C02 laser and works with the latest LightBurn or Laser GRBL software running on Windows, Linux or MAC. Purpose built for 20W to 100W C02 lasers. The LX4s board can be directly bolted into a K40, larger laser, or even your own custom laser such as the popular K40 12 x 24 modification! With the integrated Trinamic drivers you can now reach higher speeds and achieve smoother motion.
The Vms-GRBL firmware has been optimized for reliable, trouble-free operation and has added features you won't get anywhere else. Features such as axis locking to hold position so your design doesn't shift, high-speed laser engraving and cutting, precision laser PWM control for outstanding grayscale reproduction and fine line detail, X, Y, Z & A Trinamic TMC2208 driver current control and other advanced settings to optimize for better holding torque, speed and cooler motor operation maximizing driver and stepper motor life. The Vms-GRBL firmware comes preloaded onto the LX4s board. The LX4s settings are updated through the LightBurn console and machine settings. All Vms-GRBL firmware updates are free and easy to upgrade through the Vms Bootloader tool!
Note: The LX4s requires a 24V 4-amp power supply to supply power to the drivers and stepper motors. You can choose the Vms approved external 24V power supply above or you can use your own 24V power supply. If you do choose to use your own external 24V power supply, please contact us to see if it will work with the LX4s board.
